Continue experimenting with brushes and their attributes while implementing layer masks. Use multiple layer mask and try painting your own.
To paint on a layer mask simply the select mask thumbnail. To reveal the layer mask in your workspace, hold down ALT and click the mask thumbnail. This will toggle the layer mask.
