Well, I wanted to work on my painting skills tonight, so I painted a simple apple in Photoshop. It is not perfect and needs a little work, but it is a good start. I worked on it layer by layer, then eventually merged them into one, and then painted the shadows. I will post my progress later.
I think it is very important to work on your observational drawing / painting skills. It will transfer to what ever medium you work in. So get drawing and painting!!!
